John Grummitt L.D.S, R.C.S, (Eng.), D.G.D.P. (U.K.), M.Med.Sci (GDC number 56377)*
John was born in West Bridgford and has lived most of his life in this area. His passion and commitment to dentistry is well known to his patients.
He qualified at Kings College, London in 1982. In 1991 he was awarded a DGDP by election from the Royal College of Surgeons of England for his commitment to postgraduate education.
In 2000 he was awarded a Masters degree in Periodontology and Restorative Dentistry (with distinction) from the University of Sheffield, where he has also been involved in teaching undergraduates.
He has been awarded Fellowship of the International Congress of Oral Impantologists, Fellow of the British Society for Restorative Dentistry and a full member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Harvinder Singh Thiara BDS (GDC Number 86042)*
Harvinder qualified from Sheffield University in 2005. Harvinder is from West Bridgford.
His brother is also a dentist and his family own the local Newsagents.
He has attended many courses on aesthetic dentistry as well as attending a year long restorative course at the Academy of Clinical Excellence. Harvinder has also completed the core and advanced curriculum training of the Dawson Academy that focuses on predictable cosmetic and long lasting dentistry.
Harvinder is an Associate Member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and is developing a considerable interest in invisible orthodontics being certified in Inman Aligner, Clearstep and has completed the Six Month Smile certification program.
He is currently studying for the Diploma of Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties at the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
Paul Lyons B.Ch.D (GDC number 61634)*
Paul went to school in West Bridgford before going to Leeds University to study dentistry. He returned to Nottingham, married and has three daughters who now attend his old school. Paul brings to the patients of Compton Acres Dental Practice the knowledge he has gained from running his own successful practice.
He regularly attends postgraduate dental meetings, taking a keen interest in all aspects of modern dentistry. He has completed a one-year course in advanced restorative dentistry.
Paul has many years experience planning and treating complex restorative cases including the use of dental implants, crowns, bridges and removable prostheses. He enjoys finding innovative solutions for his patients.
Paul is particularly interested in preventing dental disease but where treatment is needed he always to prefers to use the most modern aesthetic tooth coloured restorations, porcelain veneers and tooth whitening.
Radko Chmurovic MUDr (Kosice 1998) PGDip PGCert MClinDent MSc (GDC number 86074)*
Since arriving in the UK in 2005, Radko has obtained two British Masters Degrees and two Postgraduate Certificates. He has a Master of Clinical Dentistry in Periodontology (gum disease) from the University of Sheffield and a Master of Science at the University of Warwick in Implantology. He also has Postgraduate Certificates from the University of Central Lancashire and University of Sheffield.
He is actively involved in postgraduate teaching at the University of Warwick as a lecturer and clinical tutor. His special interest is treatment of gum disease and advanced prosthetic rehabilitation.
Radko moved to the UK from the former Czechoslovakia where he was was born and trained as dentist. He was awarded a degree of Doctor of General Medicine in 1998. Three years later he achieved Specialisation for dentistry (1st level) at the Slovak Postgraduate Academy of Medicine and for a period of time owned his own practice.
Radko is married, has four children and lives in Wollaton.
